Many buildings and communities set their own rules for moving in and out. These can include a move permit, a booked time slot, a protected or reserved lift, and parking. The rules differ from one building to another, so check them with the building management at both ends.

The road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is usually busier at weekday rush hours and around weekends, and your building may also limit the hours you can move. Where you can, choose a day and start time that avoid the busiest periods, and allow extra time at the end for unloading and checking.
