Apartment buildings and housing societies often set their own rules for moving days and lift use. Ask yours about its rules early and share them with us, so the delivery can be planned to suit.
For Delhi and the wider NCR, send us the full address, including the colony or society, the floor and whether there is a lift. Those details help us plan the final delivery.
We move households to Kochi/Kerala door to door. Homes in Kerala range from city apartments to houses on narrower roads, so tell us the town or district and how the house is reached, and we will confirm the delivery plan with you.
For Chennai, share your address and the floor of your new home. If your flat or house is not ready on the day your shipment is due, let us know early. This is where storage during your move can help.
For Hyderabad, many families send a small air shipment of essentials first and follow with the main household by sea. During planning we help you decide what belongs in each shipment.
Sea freight is the practical choice for furniture, appliances and the contents of a full home. It takes longer than air, so plan for the period after you arrive.
Air freight suits a small volume you need quickly, such as clothes, documents, school items and work equipment. Many families combine the two. Tell us your city and dates and we will discuss timelines when we speak.
India has customs rules for people returning after a period abroad. In general, used personal and household items for your own use may qualify for concessions, and the concession depends on your circumstances, including how long you lived abroad. New items and goods in commercial quantities are treated differently, and some items attract duty or are restricted.
Because these rules are set by Indian Customs and can change, we do not quote allowances on this page. Check the current position with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs before you ship, and tell us what you plan to send so we can tell you which documents we need.
